Martyrdom of Maytham al-Tammar

Maytham al-Tammar, a close disciple of Imam Ali, was crucified in Kufa on Ibn Ziyad’s order for his love of the Ahl al-Bayt and his tongue was cut, as Imam Ali had foretold, ten days before Imam Husayn reached Iraq.
