Attack on the house of Lady Fatima and martyrdom of Muhsin
Mourning Strength of evidence: Weak
After Saqifa, on Abu Bakr’s order, Umar ibn al-Khattab led a group to Lady Fatima’s house to force Imam Ali’s allegiance and threatened to burn it. Shia sources report that Fatima was injured between the door and the wall and miscarried her son Muhsin. The event is reported in both Shia and Sunni sources, but its exact day is not recorded.

- The exact date is not recorded; reports place it a few days after the Prophet’s death and Saqifa. This day is approximate; some commemorate the first days of Rabi al-Awwal as the “Days of Muhsin”. The historian M. H. Yusufi Gharavi places the attack about fifty days after the Prophet’s death.
